Suzanna is a free-spirited writer, editor, and author with a diverse portfolio of published books and magazine/newspaper articles. She published her eighth book in 2020, Italians in Baltimore (Arcadia Publishing), and is chipping away at a fictional novel based on truth about her Sardinian grandparents' unbelievable story. She created SNIPPETS Inspiration in 2006 and has distributed it faithfully since.
A native Marylander, Suzanna is a spunky second-generation Italian American quite passionate about her heritage. As the granddaughter of four Italian immigrants, she speaks basic Italian and grew up surrounded by dozens of Italian immigrants on both sides of her family. One of her greatest pleasures is visiting her famiglia in Luras, Sardegna, Italia, having traveled there 11 times since 2001 - and not finished yet. She is impatiently waiting for her Italian dual citizenship to be finalized. Suzanna is the founder and pro bono director of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Promotion Center for Little Italy, Baltimore. Arcadia Publishing had approached her to write Baltimore's Little Italy: Heritage and History of The Neighborhood (2015). She and her late mamma, Gina Mossa Molino (at age 84 in 2017), co-wrote The Italian Immigrants' Daughter, based on anecdotes of growing up with Gina's mother / Suzanna's grandmother, Nonna Antonica, an Italian immigrant from the island of Sardinia. Her husband of 34 years is sports celebrity Ken Singleton, a retired baseball broadcaster on The YES Network for the New York Yankees and a retired Major League Baseball player with the New York Mets and the Baltimore Orioles. Suzanna also wrote a human interest book about baseball life; which has nothing - and everything - to do with the game. Their 7-year-old Dachshund pup, Lupini Martino, is Suzanna's office assistant and speaks fluent Italian. Their favorite dessert is cannoli. Lupini was featured in Baltimore Magazine's September 2025 issue for winning Cutest Pet of the Year contest. Books
Suzanna won first prize in the 2023 Creative Arts Essay Contest through Baltimore Department of Aging, following the theme, Living Well ... Living Longer. Her essay is titled, Here or Heaven: pick one.
Suzanna's fictional short story, The Sister Left Behind, was published in the book, A Feast of Narrative (Volume 2), an anthology of short stories by Italian American writers. She is writing a novel surrounding the story based on the true and unbelievable story of her maternal nonni from Sardinia, Italy.
catchafire.org - Suzanna's profile on this nonprofit site offers her professional talents pro bono - writing, editing, and graphic design - to various nonprofits around the country.
